CELEBRATING 5 YEARS OF THE AMBUSH!
The Tigers Skate Club presents The Ambush, an inclusive skateboarding event and community day celebrating girls, women, and gender expansive skateboarders. Bringing together participants from across Canada, The Ambush creates a welcoming space to build community, connect with fellow skaters, develop skills, and celebrate creativity and individuality.
Registered participants can take part in activities, including learn-to-skate workshops, skateboard art, and events ranging from fun, informal sessions to a skate jam where skaters can showcase their skills, style, and creativity in a supportive environment.
Invited guests include members of women-focused and 2SLGBTQI+ skateboarding clubs from around Canada as well as athletes in the women’s skateboarding scene.

The Jam
Did you know that registration for The Ambush includes an *optional* skate jam that riders can choose to be a part of?
JAM CATEGORIES
Beginner: You’re just getting comfortable on your board and in skateparks. Trick knowledge is limited (which is all good because your stoke is high)!
Intermediate: You're able to do several tricks.
Advanced: You can ride quickly and confidently across many areas or elements. You can do many different and more advanced tricks.
Wise Tigers: Our take on a masters division for anyone wise enough not to mess with the Tiger cubs 
.
AWARDS
We are stoked to give out the following awards within each category because we know that skateboarding isn't about our skillset alone!
The Grit Award: This award goes to the tenacious skater that is showing great feats of heart and determination. They get back up when they fall, they keep trying that trick, they just keep going.
The Creativity Award: This award goes to the skater that dares to be different. They are using parts of the park that others haven't, they throw in fun and exciting tricks, or maybe they make their run theatrical! Show us what it means to be yourself and find the joy in skateboarding.
The Skill Award: This award highlights the technical excellence of a run. This skater is showcasing different tricks and abilities with precision.

Ambush registration is open to girls, women, and gender expansive skateboarders of all ages and levels of ability. Helmets are mandatory, safety gear is strongly recommended.
