What to Expect

We want this to be a safe and fun experience, so helmets are mandatory, and we strongly encourage you to bring skate pads if you have them.

We will have extra boards on site, first-come, first-served, but please bring your own if you have one.

Sessions take place at the Ottewell Community League rink, a smooth and ideal surface to get you rolling and comfortable on your board. There are fun rails, ramps and other features, but always a ton of empty space to practice cruising.

We know starting something new like this can be daunting, so you can expect to have some seasoned Tigers (skate mentors) there to help you out, offer encouragement, and bring the stoke to help keep you rolling!

Waivers

Why a waiver? As an organization holding public events, we need to carry liability insurance in case someone is injured. Part of that obligation is to ask people participating to sign a waiver once for the 2026 season. In addition, this information will be used in case of emergency or in the event of injury, and for member communication. Tigers Skate Club will not sell or share your personal information with anyone else.
